    an authentic antique, probably
    19th Century
    Himalayan cordophone,
    with a beautiful, authentic patina, a
    Tibetan Lute / Sgra-Snyan / Tugna Dranyen
    - dramyin - dramyen - dramnyen - danyan - zhamunie -
    with a dragon head finial
    ,
    perhaps depicting the
    Mountain dragon
    , Dragon in the land of the snows, or a
    Makara
    it is a plucked string instrument,
    long-necked and double waisted,
    made from a hollowed piece of wood,
    unfretted and room for 5 pegs / keys and strings,
    the upper chamber is covered by a lid with carved floral decoration,
    the lower chamber is covered with animal skin, fastened with tiny nails
    please see all the pictures for the wear and tear, missing parts and replacements,
    the body and neck are good, no cracks,
    on the top right side edge of the dragon's head is a chip,
    the last pictures are only illustrative.
