Hornbeam wood
(European Hornbeam) has a beautiful white-gray shade, similar to ivory, with virtually no distinct fibers, such as ash or white acacia. The optimum density of the hornbeam, whose moisture content is 12%, is measured from 750 kg / m3 to 800 kg / m3. This wood is a valuable species with a very high density. For its properties, it is also called the "iron" tree. At shock loads that exceed the maximum critical threshold for this tree, it can leave such damage as micro dents and dents.
